Carpentry for Beginners
A10-week course aimed at the complete beginner, where you will learn carpentry skills and techniques to help you create a small box. An additional £5 charge will be levied for materials to make the final small hardwood box. If possible a trip to a Nottingham wood yard will be arranged for learners to gain an insight into the different types of wood available. Your tutor will discuss this at the start of the course. Note: an apron will be provided but sensible shoes or boots must be worn in the workshop.

Electrical Works in the Home, The Do's and Don'ts of
This short course will cover basic electrical theory and what to avoid doing that may cause electrical accidents. This course will also look at appropriate tools to use when carrying out electrical work in the home as well as basic health and safety when carrying out simple electrical work. In addition what electrical systems can be used in your home to protect it and how you use these will also be covered. This course is for people who would like to learn more about basic electrics in the home and perhaps get an introduction into the electrical trade.
