THE CURRICULUM
The college curriculum, for all years, is constantly monitored in line with national guidelines. Sutton Centre, through its governors and staff will seek to keep parents informed about and involved in these changes and to take some of the ‘mystery’ out of the education process. Only through understanding and working together can we give the best opportunities to our students.
The curriculum is taught using a wide variety of appropriate teaching and learning styles: whole class teaching, group, paired and individual work. Co-operative teamwork and individual achievement are both important.
Sutton Centre Community College has gained the Business Enterprise and Arts Specialism. Our objective is to enhance learning opportunities for all pupils and to give them access to a curriculum that will develop them as effective learners, productive members of their community and enterprising young adults in the world of work.
